Few questions related to modal theory in fiber optics?

1) What conditions BETAm (propagation constant) needs to satisfy, to enable propagation of the mode (m-order, like in TEnm) through fiber?

2) If there is 10 modes (of all possible polarizations) which can propagate through the fiber, what LP modes are settling them?

3) What modes from question 2) were made from two hybrid modes (difference of the refraction indexes (core and cladding) are not infinite small)?

4) If somebody could put link to figure which shows distribution of electrical field of lowest even an highest odd mode in PLANAR waveguide in which 4 TE modes propagate.

5) Which of these (in 4. question) modes has grater confining factor, and why?

6) If thickness of the waveguide layer increases what happens to the 4. mode? Does its confining factor increase, or decrease?
