This listing is for a Canon EOS D/SLR T-Ring/Adapter set. This sytem lets you use your telescope as a very long camera lens. In astrophotography this is known as the Prime-Focus Method.
The set consists of an all metal adapter barrel that fits into 2" Telescope focusers and a T-Ring for a Canon EOS D/SLR body. The barrel has male T threads at the top for the included Canon EOS D/SLR T-ring to attach to and 48mm female threads on the bottom that can accomodate standard astronomical 2", 48mm filters.
The image of the barrel is to illustrate that there are two pieces of the barrel that connect together, and that the shorter, narrower diameter part at the bottom is 23mm in height, and, when coupled with the other taller, wider diameter segment of the barrel, is the side inserted into the telescope's 2" focuser. This information is sometimes requested by astrophotographers doing focal length calculations for prime focus photography. The threads on the inside of the narrower, 26mm segment accommodate industry-standard 48mm x 0.75 mm threading filters.
