Compact Powerful Binocular

Clip point hunting knives are the perfect knife for the dedicated sportsman who is looking for a solid knife that can be used both for hunting and general tasks. While the design of the clip point blade gets the job done when it comes to skinning, cleaning and butchering wild game, it is also designed with a fatter blade than some hunting knives. This thicker blade makes it a little less efficient than a truly dedicated hunting knife, but the same feature lends it to being easier to handle for other outdoor tasks, making ideal for the occasional hunter.

Clip vs. Drop Point

There are two primary blade designs when it comes to hunting knives: drop point and clip point. A drop point knife is specifically designed with a curved blade for efficient skinning that makes it a perfect knife if it is only going to be used for hunting. The clip point design, on the other hand, only is only curved right near the tip of the blade, leaving the rest of the blade similar to a typical, general duty tool. Both blade designs are curved to make skinning game easier, but the clip point design is otherwise a basic work knife with an otherwise traditional blade. Drop point knives, on the other hand, are a little better for most hunting tasks but not as useful for more general tasks.

Clip Point Uses

Due to this hybrid design, these hunting knives are useful for just about every back country task. While they are a great knife, they are also very useful for fishing tasks such as filleting fish or cutting bait, as well as all camping and backpacking tasks. If you are looking for a single knife to use for all of your outdoors adventures and plan on squeezing in the occasional hunting trip, a clip point blade is almost always the best choice. Clip point blades can be found on both fixed blade hunting knives as well as folding hunting knives, but a fixed blade knife is considerably more robust and easier to use on big game.

Right from my childhood, I loved knives. I roamed in jungles and had been on many wild ventures. In my opinion, hunting knife is the best companion when you are on any wild adventure trip. As there are many types of hunting knives available, the key is in selecting the right kind of knife. You are invited to visit http://www.huntingknivesreviews.net to learn more about hunting knives.

Can anyone tell me how to tell a good quality pair of binoculars!!?

Hi i have a pair of binoculars - sakura 10-90x80. They are quite heavy and bulky so i was looking to buy a compact pair. Can anyone tell me are the ones i have good quality? If so shall i buy a compact pair with those numbers on it. Or can anyone recommend a nice light powerful pair to me.for mainly bird watching/long distance............Thank you.....

Yes I can.
First stay out of the plastic clam shell area at the store.
Second DO go to the counter and see what they have that you can look at.
3ed, take the ones you can hold and hold them out at arms length so that the eye part is facing you. Look at the size and shape of the light hole. The rounder and larger the better. IF they look square put them back and look at others till you see ROUND. The larger the better.

Then, put them to your eyes and use them after setting the focus for both eyes for 3 to 5 min.. Yes a long time.

Now lets talk about what the numbers on the binos are all about.
The power. 7 8 10 etc. this tells me how much larger the image will be V my eyes with out the binos.
Now lets look at the second number. 30, 35, 38, 40, 50 etc.
This is the size of the front lens.
Now if all was easy it would be easy at this point.
50 devided by 7 gives you a 7
35 devided by 7 gives you a 5
SO the larger number gives you more light at your eye..
IF every thing else is the same.
Now re look at the binos at arms length and you will see the larger brighter hole . That is good.

SO, now if you are looking at the same make and type of bino you have a clue as to what amount of light will get to your eye.

Now it is all up to you and what you want to carry. I own 4 pair from very small belt pouch 8 x 30 nikon to 7 x 50 water proof and 10 x 50 pro prizm that I use only on a tripod looking at stars and wild life.

Now last advice. Walmart has Lupold binos for under $200.00 that are very good for the money. The 10 power Nikon they have are also very good for the price.

Hope that helps.
