Home-made cooler for flip screen DSLR cameras.
Runs on 12V batteries, about 40W when operating. The device takes 5.5x2.1mm male DC connector for power input.
The temperature sensor is installed in the aluminum plate. At room temperature (25 ?), it can cool itself to -15 ?.In the field (~10?), it can cool to -24? when attached to the camera.
The fan is quiet but powerful. Six copper heat pipes and large radiators guarantee great cooling result.I used 2x55Ah batteries for the whole setup (without laptop) and it worked overnight without issues. The M33 photo was taken with this cooler + Canon T3i Modified + Orion EON 115mm
