The refractor lens we offer for sale is an original historical and huge 13.3" (33cm) refractor lens. It's a doublet lens in the original iron cast and brass lens cell.
The focal length is 343cm. This is a long tube telescope.
This lens is a unique opportunity for the collector or a museum.
We add 100 original photos made with the Carte du Ciel refractor. The photos are original printed (engravings) astrophotos with the needed description printed on the borders.
The lens is in excellent condition.
No scratches, dents or fungi
The lens cell has some minor traces of oxidation. Can easily been cleaned
the hasn't been tested.
