We are downsizing and selling our beloved Meade 14 inch LX200-R (now called "Advanced Coma Free") GPS telescope.  This telescope was purchased new in 2006 and has been carefully cared for ever since.  We are the only owners.  It has stayed in one location, has never been disassembled, and has been carefully stored in a low-humidity observatory, upright, with the original plastic on for dust control.

The scope is in excellent condition, and was just tested for mechanical issues; the scope performed flawlessly, locked onto GPS and also performed a 2 star alignment.  The mirror appears to be ready for a recoating (it has never been recoated), though the corrector plate looks to be in perfect condition.  Over the years the scope has shown us incredible detail in Jupiter and Saturn, and has shown us some wonderful deep sky objects from our Bortle 4 skies.  Slewing and tracking have been super-accurate. Included is a dielectric 2 inch diagonal, electronic microfocuser, handpad, and DC power cord.

The cost for a new LX200ACF with identical equipment is around $6700.

Due to its size, this wonderful instrument is only available for local pickup.  Shipping it would be prohibitively expensive, and we do not own a vehicle large enough to transport it.  We are happy to make arrangements for you to pick up the telescope at your convenience and will help disassemble and load it into your vehicle.  The upper assembly weighs upwards of 100 lbs, so be prepared to lift!

We would be happy to answer any questions you might have about this fantastic telescope.  Note that since the scope will be picked up, we can receive payment methods other than Paypal and can be flexible in that regard.
