Meade 8” f6.3 LX200 telescope with tripod and alt-azimuth fork mount. Electrical problem.
Single owner (now in assisted living) was a collector - this instrument was very lightly used but has an electrical problem - the base unit does not power up with the required 18Vdc. The power cord is missing but we’ve tried powering it up with a cord from a similar Meade and the base unit is dead.
Optical tube is clean and in excellent condition. All mechanical items work perfectly - including right ascension and declination knobs, locking mechanisms, and focus. Optics seem excellent.
Hand controller, but cord is missing.
Cable: 12V jumpers to socket (minimal use since base unit requires 18Vdc)
26mm plossl eyepiece
Motorized focuser with cord to plug into base unit. (Cannot verify if it works because base unit does not power up.
Tripod, but does not include equatorial wedge.
Repeat: Electrical problem - Base unit does not power up with 18Vdc applied. Hand controller cord is missing. Power cord is missing. Optical tube seems excellent, fork mount mechanics seem excellent, but base unit electrics should be considered “parts only."
This item was listed previously, but the listing was canceled since we thought we might have found the cords. Unfortunately, we did not find the correct cords, so this listing is for the same item that was listed a couple weeks ago.
