Up for sale is this Meade lightbridge 16” Telescope. Everything on The telescope still works fine, except for the brake system tho. It is because this is a big and heavy telescope and with big eye pieces it gets heavier on the front , and the brake system it has , it’s not enough to keep it in place. When using a heavy eyepiece at lower altitudes , it tends to keep moving down. I usually put a heavy load on the back of the telescope to compensate and keep it from moving on its own.
There is about 85-90 % of reflectivity on the primary mirror, and the secondary mirror has about 98 % reflectivity. None of this affects the clarity of the image. It comes with 2 eyepieces(pictured) and with a solar filter to look at the sun (pictured , a $90 value)and a stroller or buggy ( $45 value) that I made to move it around myself.
These are best to be used on areas with out too much city light.
I will not ship. It has to be picked up.
If you have any questions, send me a message. More info about thus telescope can be found on the Meade web site. Thanks for looking.
