Feelings are our Guidance System! The Moon Enters Gemini, then the New Moon is in Cancer as well as the Sun, both in Opposition of Pluto
The Moon Enters into Gemini
Approximately every 2 ½ days the Moon as our fastest planet in Astrology is moving into a new zodiac sign. When the Moon transitions into a new sign there is a different energetic emotional quality available. Moon signifies our way we feel and filter the events in our environment emotionally. With Moon in Gemini we will have some lightness, mental neutrality and flexibility available to us today. But things will get more emotional from here on.
New Moon in Cancer (June 21. 2009)
Each New Moon provides us with a new beginning of a new cycle, a clean slate to start from. There is some magic in these turning points of the New Moon and the Full Moon as there is in the Solstice and the Equinox. These are universal rhythms which remind me of our breathing. When we breathe in we supply the body with fresh oxygen and life force, then there is a moment of stillness before we breathe out, releasing the old and stagnant, then another still point and the cycle resumes.
For me astrology is just a wonderful way to find my place in these magnificent universal cycles and gain understanding in how to apply the wisdom found within it.
There are the short cycles of the Moon waxing and waning and there are the longer cycles of the Sun moving through the year. Each station in a different sign is describing a specific universal quality available in that moment in time.
You could say the cycle of the Moon through the zodiac is an indicator of the emotional imprint and the cycle of the Sun is how consciousness and life in general is impacted.
New Moon Opposing Pluto (June 22. 2009)
The neutrality of the Moon in Gemini will change with the New Moon in Cancer on the 22nd. Cancer is coming home into his own sign. Emotions are of utmost importance and not so stabile, as Moon in Cancer is known for a more volatile fluctuation in its emotions. Issues concerning home and family are in the foreground.
Whenever Pluto is in the picture in some kind of a connection with other personal planets there is challenge and transformation involved. This opposition will impact the innocence a New Moon usually displays. Pluto might bring up fears and insecurities which is an easy place to go to these days with all the economical challenges we are facing.
Whatever we focus on that will grow and expand! If you find yourself in a fearful place you want to choose consciously a different focus for your thoughts. Also keep in mind the law of impermanence and the awareness that these emotions will pass soon. You might as well use them for the best! It all starts in your mind and your emotions will follow.
The Law of Attraction
This spiritual law is so powerful that it can completely change your life, no matter how dark you think your current transit is. Nowhere is it written that you cannot change the course of your life. You can—with the right tools. The Law of Attraction contains all of the hope you will ever need.
Every outcome in your life originates in your mind. Your current job success, your finances, the state of your marriage, your health—whatever level of success and happiness you are currently experiencing in each area of your life began with your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. Those were turned into a set of expectations and intentions. Then came your choices and actions, and those brought you to where you are today. If you don’t like where you’ve ended up, you need to trace your path back to your thoughts, because that’s where it all started.
Astrology and Hope
Using your mind the right way by focusing onto your hopes and dreams is applying the Law of Attraction.
Astrology can be one of your most powerful tools for holding onto hope. In times of despair and confusion, when you cannot see any possible way forward, astrology can provide you with the insights you need to understand your situation and make effective choices to move forward. When you are aware of the forces, both internal and external, that are impacting your life, you are empowered to make the right action choices. Hope plus awareness and conscious choice is a powerful equation for solving problems!
Sun Enters Cancer (Solstice)
June 21 marks the Summer Solstice in Cancer, the longest day of the year. Many people in the Northern Hemisphere love this energetic time of year, when they can enjoy the outdoors until late in the evening.
Cancer is a feminine water sign. All life on Earth depends on water, and all land animals, including humans, are thought to have originated in the oceans. So Cancer is closely associated with giving life, and hence motherhood.
In the evolution of the zodiac the Cancer energy moves inwards. Family and home are of utmost importance. Cancer with all the fluidity of a water sign is easily impacted and hence has a deep need for safety for herself and her loves ones.
If you are looking for a way to help stabilize your emotions, Moonstone is a wonderful stone for these Cancerian times. Moonstone will make us feel more balanced and safe internally and is a crucial stone to help with emotional upheavals of any kind. If you have a bigger piece you can put it under your pillow for a better nights sleep.
