Unbranded camera tracker but a bit of internet research indicates this was made by FJR Manufacturing, marketed by Apogee and also sold through Pocono Mountain Optics back in the day. Nicely made overall, brass driven gear, stainless steel worm, internal 9v power.
We suspect the counterweights are not original and the DEC lock knob and camera quick release plate are also not original. Counterweights shown balance a Nikon D100 but I think lighter cameras would be better for the counterweights included (or find other counterweights, shaft is 1/2" diameter). The camera quick release plate can be taken off easily, standard 1/4-20 fitment. Plate the quick release is attached to can be moved back and forth about 2" for balancing. Base with standard 1/4-20 threaded hole to mount on your tripod is cut at an angle to get you close to your latitude, we assume you use an adjustable head between this and your tripod top to make the final minor adjustment for your latitude. North/South selector on the motor as well as an on/off switch and red on light.
Works fine, tested by us, has a fresh 9V battery in it, toe saver Allen wrench included.
Weighs 7lbs, 15.5" long as shown.
WHO WE ARE: Oddog2 is a husband/wife team, home-based small business specializing in the buying/refurbishment/selling of primarily photographic equipment. We do occasionally have other types of things to sell that come to us as a result of our search for camera-related items. We have 47 years of experience (22 years as a hobby, 25 as a full time effort) with photographic equipment, both as a shooter (17 years newspaper photojournalist) and as a collector/restorer/seller. We have been on eBay as Oddog or Oddog2 since September 1999.
