This Questar 3 1/2 " Duplex telescope has been little used, and carefully stored. It is in superb condition, and has been thoroughly cleaned and tested.
It has all the original accessories, with the vinyl case,(note wear at top), three aluminum legs, synchronous electric drive and cord, the standard Brandon 16mm and 24mm eyepieces, the solar filter, a close focus stop diaphragm, lens cap, leg hole pull out plugs, and the highly desirable optional camera mount. It has the updated eyepiece holder that accepts either screw-in style Brandon or standard 1-1/4" eyepieces.
Note for photographers: The Questar scope has a focal length of approximately 1,300mm at F 14.4. The camera mount comes with the standard M42 Pentax threads, and adapters are available for virtually any available digital or film camera with interchangeable lenses. (The camera and tripod are shown for demonstration purposes only and are not included.)
It comes with both instruction books, and the contemporary Questar Catalogue, and guides to star gazing.
The serial number is 8-DP-7317 . It was made in 1978 and shipped February 21, 1979.
Optics are very clear, and everything works properly. The comparable new model cost $5,350.
