I have a very famed blue and white C-10 Celestron, Blue and White for auction. This is one of the original F-13.5's SUPER planetary versions. It magnifies high and fast. These are very rare and are very hard to find, with powerful optics for planets. The mirrors are a bit marred from age and need realuminized, but otherwise in great shape. The scope still performs very well, with sharp images of planets. Here is a chance to own one if you ever wanted to. The optical tube is even worth having if you seek to put it on another mount. Realuminizing the mirrors will make it just that much better of a scope, but a careful professional clean is all that is needed. The scope is sold as is because of its age, but I have never known one of these drives to go bad, as of yet. It has a clock drive and forks that are complete and functional, but no mount or tripod, just the scope and fork drive, on this one. These, blue and whites are the best Schmidt Telescopes I have ever looked through, optically, inch per inch. The planets really look sharp in these things. Scope includes hard to find original power cord. Telescope does not come with pier or Tripod. no returns as it is very heavy to ship and a bit costly. I may have a finder, search but otherwise, no finder scope. Serial number is pictured Shipping and bidding only in the CONTUS. No overseas bidders or foreign bidders. I have just carefully examined the lenses and they are in much better shape than initially thought. The coatings are great just dusty a bit but smooth, but new advanced, coatings will bring out the optimum performance and the beauty of these great mirrors. Who ever wins this, is going to have a really nice Telescope to enjoy the planets with, etc. All you need is a visual back, eyepieces, wedge, and tripod or a pier. This does have the smooth, shift free, spindle focuser.
The picture of Jupiter was done with C-10, Canon EOS D60, 1100 frames stacked with Registax. The scope is nearly 55 years old. This can make a very special Christmas present for someone who love good, old quality lenses. Get one while you can, because they will all be gone soon. This is fully functional and includes hard to get cord, extra new ones are $50.
