Vintage pedestal telescope (Coin op) - reportedly from a commercial coastal pier in California. Solid as a rock, made of iron and heavy. Vision through it worked fairly well until recently and sporadically now, sometimes very blurry and sometimes just showing some light, dark or blank. Obviously optic adjustments/ repairs are needed. May also need, depending on taste, exterior cosmetic cleanup and (possibly) interior repair to get it to be coin operative again and/ or able to see everything as if new. Did not need coin to use when working. See pictures. Do not have key to open lock. Guess that is where coins are collected? Made, ironically, and/or distributed by Export Sales Corporation in Dallas, Texas. Do not think company still exists. Spent last several years on a elevated patio overlooking the breathtaking Kings River in Central California. A special and unique addition to your spectacular backyard or landscaped area where a lovely view or wildlife will be even more enhanced. It will be a sculpture (of sorts) and conversation piece as well.
