Bought this for taking images of the night sky with my DSLR which I have only been able to do a couple of times. I will have to wait until my kids are a bit older to try to get back into this but now they're so young that I just don't have enough time (or sleep) to enjoy this. I never did use the two AA batteries - I just hoooked up a cheap portable cell phone charger and it worked great. The one image of the stars that I've included (Cassiopeia constellation and the Andromeda Galaxy is even visible!) is from 12 images of a total of about 26 minutes of exposure (ranging from 1 min 45 seconds up to 5 minutes of exposure) with an old Pentax 28mm F3.5 Lens on my Canon T7i, tracked with this Polarie (ISO 1600, lens stopped down two stops, Bortle 4-5ish area just a few miles outside of town). I was happy with the results - I just wish I had more time to enjoy this unit!
The ball mount adapter IS included as well.
Re-listing due to a shady buyer blatantly abusing eBay's return policy thus forcing me to return this item. Please, if you have questions on how to use this, please ask me for help. I'd be happy to help. I've spent a ton of time reading up on this before buying it and I'd be happy to share the knowledge.
Re-listing a second time because someone else bought it and then backed out after the fact.
